Full product details

Product description

No need for roof bars or tail-gate carriers with the Bailey Discovery! Transport bicycles with ease at the front of the Discovery caravan's extended A-frame. The Thule Superb can hold two bikes up to 30kg each. An optional third rail is available to purchase separately.

We recommend that the spare wheel carrier is reinstalled at the rear of the Discovery caravans when the bike rack is fitted by a Bailey retailer. This gives a larger total payload for carrying bikes on the rack.

Nose weight and payload

It is the owner's responsibility to ensure the nose weight of your caravan is within the limit. The actual nose weight is affected by many factors, especially the way in which the caravan is loaded. The table below gives theoretical nose weight and theoretically available payload (total carrying capacity) of the bike rack when the spare wheel carrier is repositioned at the rear of the caravan.

Please note this fitted item will count as pay mass and your vehicle's available payload will be affected if this item is fitted.

Model Adapted Nose Weight Total Payload Bike Rack Weight Bike Rack Payload
Discovery D4-2 30.15 kg 69.85 kg 9.7 kg 60.15 kg
Discovery D4-3 46.64 kg 53.36 kg 9.7 kg 43.66 kg
Discovery D4-4 49 kg 51 kg 9.7 kg 41.3 kg

All features

  • Holds up to 60kg total bike weight.
  • Max 30kg per bike.
  • Holds 2 bikes as standard.
  • 3rd bike option available with rail available separately.
