Where to head in your van this Easter
For many people, Easter means a trip to the seaside, but if the prospect of busy roads and uncertain weather are putting you off, there are some great alternatives.
UK city breaks have loads to offer whether it rains or shines and there are some brilliant centrally located campsites to be found if you know where to look. Here are just three cities to consider (and keep an eye out for a fuller list later in the year):-
BRISTOL
This is our home town and believe us, there’s lots to do! Bristol has a thriving arts and cultural scene, brilliant galleries and museums, extensive shopping and a great choice of restaurants and bars for most tastes and pockets.

CARDIFF
Cardiff offers the wow factor in so many ways. It’s home to frequent international sporting events and concert tours, has marvellous shopping and nightlife, and the attraction of Cardiff Bay (don’t miss the Doctor Who Experience exhibition!).

YORK
Reputed to be Britain’s most haunted city, York nevertheless is a lively place with plenty to see and do. Must-sees include York Minster, The York Dungeon and York Railway Museum.

LONDON
If you want to enjoy all the capital has to offer, minus its hotel prices, why not take the caravan or motorhome? There are a number of permanent sites within the M25 boundary that are within easy reach of the West End via public transport.

The National Trust at Easter
National Trust properties throughout the country will be opening their doors in time for Easter and many have special events, such as Easter Egg hunts, nature trails or flower festivals, for the whole family. There’s normally a decent campsite not too far away.
